Thanks for being my compass, my guide mostly the voice that says so much wisdom.

In most of my anger I feel like coffee spills and cracked walls, broken glass or smashed jars.

Sometimes I feel like cold empty ocean floors.  Other days it’s vitriolic and corrosive.

Or sometimes it’s the wet season and the rain won’t stop pouring.

When you say they throw stones at you, she tells you not to throw it back, but to forgive.

When you say I don’t know how to forgive, love or be kind, she tells you the reasons why they are worth being loved, forgiven and tells you compassion.

These little lines don’t come close to describing how much you mean to me.

Thank you mum, for always being there for me, and I know you will be there to see when that dam explodes.

Love you.
