I just thought I’d write a letter to you.
I think almost all letters I’ve written you so far, were me whining or complaining to you.
Except that I just don’t know what to write without feeling like it doesn’t encompass all I see in you.
So I’ll just stick to thank yous and love yous.
Thanks for making me spell at two, and thanks for teaching me Ephesians 6:1.
Thanks for singing God will make a way for as long as I remember.
Thanks for being the firm rock in my life.
I know these words probably seem too mundane, but I mean them from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for never letting me see myself as average.
Thank you for always having answers when I asked since I could talk.
Thank you for teaching me to use my brain since the time my mind could start forming thoughts and ideas.
Thank you for rocking the big cot and losing sleep.
Thank you for believing that I could achieve the impossible from the moment I was born.
Thank you for treasuring me.
There is no other words I can express right now without saying thank you.
Thank you for being the standard I’ve lived up to my whole life.
I love you dad, and I know you know, but I just want to remind you again.
Thank you so much.
