I ask and beg God and ask some more that He’ll help me get a job.
There’s a long pause.
I open my eyes and look at the palms of my hands.
There’s a mic, and there’s a pen.
I don’t have a job, even though I’ve been praying for so long.
So I look again and open the palms of my hands.
There’s a guitar and a piano in front of me.
I’ve been asking for so long, that God would give me a job.
I open my palm again.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”- Jeremiah 29:11
“To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent — each according to his own ability. And he promptly went on his journey.”- Matthew 25:15
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
I will be still, and trust in God. The One who created the Heavens and the Earth. The One who is like no other. I will trust in His Words on my life, and walk in obedience to His Word. I trust and believe that though I can’t see the future ahead, He has it all under control. My job is to walk in obedience and to be accountable with the talents He has given me.
